Site Analysis Survey

Site Analysis Surveys are used by your architect/draftsperson and council for town planning purposes.  Sometimes called neighbourhood description surveys, site analysis feature surveys locate not only information on your property, but also many of your neighbouring properties.

A site analysis feature survey is generally required by Council when you are developing your property with units or townhouses. Even if you are keeping the existing house and adding another at the rear, a site analysis feature survey is generally what is required.  How many properties are required to be surveyed depend on council requirements, which differ between areas, but a site analysis survey would often require three properties either side and to the rear of your property, and five across the road.

This enables your architect and Council to fully assess the neighbourhood character by examination of the neighbouring houses.

Information located in a site analysis feature survey usually includes the same detail required in a Feature and Level Survey, plus a footprint of the surrounding properties and details of the road, nature strip and features at the front of neighbouring properties.
